It seems like there is always something. Just when we solve one problem another one just creeps up on us, offering yet another challenge in our already hectic lives. The same goes for those on a low carb diet. We are so glad to have found an option that has worked for thousands of people. You stick to the diet and never deviate from the restrictions you have imposed upon yourself for the purpose of having a healthier more beautiful body. The pounds start melting away and you can finally fit into your favorite pair of jeans again. Thank goodness for the low carb craze!

Beating Your Low Carb Bad Breath

At the beginning of a low carb diet, your intake is almost pure protein. This causes the body to burn fat instead of carbs for energy. When the fat is burned like this it creates a by-product called ketones and they have the nasty habit of accumulating in your bloodstream as well as your saliva, and as you might have guessed--ketones stink. Just a fun side effect of low carb diets!

Another result of your low carb diet is that the bacteria in your mouth start producing more sulfur compounds as they mix with foods high in protein. But fear not! This may be a big drawback to your low carb diet, but it doesn't have to be a deal-breaker.
