As we all know, most people on diets fail to achieve their weight-loss goals through these diets. Even though many people have tried the various low carb diets it does not mean that they have actually lost the weight. In fact, even with the low carb diet most people fail and actually end up gaining even more weight back. What is a person to do? Before we go on, we should say that a great many diets do fail because too many of us are looking for a quick fix and with weight loss, the slower, the better. But, the other big reason why diets fail is that they are simply too restrictive. This is especially true of low carb diets because they take away an entire food group! We cannot always follow the guidelines of our diet because we are deprived of so many of the wonderful foods that we are udsed to, or so we think.

Making Your Diet Work with Low Carb Recipes

A low carb diet does not have to be as restrictive as you might think. The key is to find a lot of different low carb recipes that you can prepare at home and that are so delicious that you do not feel a though you are being deprived of anything. Most people do not take the time they need to find the low carb recipes that will satisfy them. Instead of finding their own low carb recipes to use, many people are simply cutting the carbs out of their regular diets. In this case, of course, it will seem as though you are being deprived because you are. You need to find alternatives to the regular meals that you once made and luckily, thanks to the success of earlier low carb recipes, there are more than enough resources out there to find enough low carb recipes to help you glide through your diet.

By far the best place to find a variety of recipes that you will love is the Internet. There are too many sites dedicated to low carb diets to even count, and that is to your advantage. Visit many sites and browse though all the recipes that they offer--you will definitely find at least a few on each site that will tempt your palate. Whether your taste was refined before your diet or you prefer standard fare, there are hundreds, thousands of great recipes out there waiting to make your life easier. Here's one to get you started:

Philly Cheesesteak

2 lbs. good sirloin, chopped up

1 8-oz package cream cheese

8-oz provolone cheese

1 red pepper

1 portobello mushroom

1 onion

2 garlic cloves

Olive oil

Garlic salt and onion powder to taste

1. Heat olive oil in pan.

2. Saute red pepper, mushroom, onion, and garlic.

3. Add salt, pepper, garlic salt and onion powder.

4. Add sirloin and cook to your preferred temperature.

5. Cut up cream cheese and provolone into chunks. Add the cheeses and stir until you have made a sauce.

6. Serve in bowls.
