Low Carb Diet Cookbook

If you're just starting out on a low carb diet, you probably are in the "honeymoon phase" enjoying the fact that you can now enjoy meat, cheese and eggs guilt-free. But since that's basically all you get, you might get tired of that menu fairly quickly. That's when you'll want to have a good low carb diet cookbook on hand.

The Key to Finding a Good Low Carb Diet Cookbook
People on the Atkins diet might look for a low carb diet cookbook with recipes strictly for the Atkins diet. People on the South Beach diet might do the same thing. In theory, that's a good idea. And some will just use the recipes they find in the low carb diet book for whichever low carb diet they're on. But sometimes these recipes might have ingredients you don't like, or at the very least, ingredients you don't know if you like. And sometimes you might not have heard of the ingredients before. In these cases you have to be willing to try new foods. But most people prefer to use cookbooks and recipes (low carb or not) that use ingredients they like and are familiar with. A good low carb diet cookbook will have pictures of each dish along with the carb count for each dish.

Our advice for finding a good low carb diet cookbook is to hit the library first. Check out a few of the low carb diet cookbooks they might have and read them to see if any of the recipes are to your liking. If you find a low carb diet cookbook that has a lot of recipes you like, consider buying that one from your local bookstore or online.

If you have a lot of time on your hands, you could peruse the low carb diet cookbooks in your local bookstore and see if there are any worth investing in. (Cookbooks can get expensive.) Also, ask friends with similar tastes as you if there's a particular low carb diet cookbook they like. Maybe they'll let you borrow it to see if it's something you want to buy.

In any case, having a low carb diet cookbook can keep you supplied with a variety of recipes to keep you from getting bored with your low carb diet.
