Any Sort Of Carbohydrate Diet Has Its Risks
Breaking down a couple of carbohydrate diet options
There are people out there -- insane people -- who will tell you that any low carbohydrate diet is better than what you are on now, because you eat far too many carbs and don't get near enough protein and other such things. Well, truth be told, there are probably adjustments you can make, to the effect of eliminating the empty carbohydrate intake. But let's be serious here. You need carbs as fuel. Energy. Calories to burn, to get you through the day. If you think that you are just going to eliminate carbohydrates altogether and be healthier as a result, you should consult some sources other than these spin doctor freaks.
- Call it what you want.
- A low carbohydrate diet.
- A no carb diet. An Atkins diet.
- It's not what it appears to be.
A balanced carbohydrate diet is the best move
Everything in moderation. Making sure you get good carbs is just as important as sticking to a low carbs diet. You can't go without the carbs 100 percent, but you can kick a lot of the bad ones, while eating more whole grains, fruits and vegetables. There's no way to be perfect when dieting, whether it's a low carbohydrate diet or the traditional Weight Watchers or whatever. What you need to do is think about it in terms of people who exercise and eat balanced portions of all their favorite meals... lean meats, low fat dairy, etc.
Those people are healthier than those who overdo anything in an attempt to find some magical low carbohydrate quick fix. Be a little realistic here, and think about it in terms of a marathon and not a sprint. Exercise is the key to any diet, and you are not gonna get it without mixing in some good carbs into your low carbohydrate diet. That is the bottom line. So don't go overboard and fall victim to this nonsense that fools have been spreading around the web these days.
